Leadership Team

Dear Leadership Team,

I need your help. We need wisdom concerning decisions that need to be made in the present which will have impact upon the future of His church at Red Banks. So many options about what to do or not to do can be used by Satan to divide us. We cannot let that happen. Therefore, it would behoove us to seek His wisdom and not our own. The Scriptures tell us two things:

1 – God is the source of all wisdom.

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.  Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.  (James 1:5-8)

2 – God honors those who rely on wise counsel.

Where there is no counsel, the people fall;

But in the multitude of counselors there is safety. (Proverbs 11:14)

Without counsel, plans go awry,

But in the multitude of counselors they are established. (Proverbs 15:22)

Listen to counsel and receive instruction,

That you may be wise in your latter days. (Proverbs 19:20)

The thoughts of the righteous are right,

But the counsels of the wicked are deceitful. (Proverbs 12:5)

What I have personally gleaned from seeking wisdom is first, seek God and His opinion. Second, test your interpretation of His opinion with Godly counsel of like-minded people whose loyalty is not divided between God and the world.

So, I am asking you, as a leader in His church at Red Banks to do this:

1-       Pray for God’s wisdom from a heart of undivided loyalty to Him and not the world.

2-       Ask God to give you His top three priorities for Red Banks currently.

3-       Be willing to share those priorities with me, the pastor, by email or in person.

4-       Take seven days to pray. Then reach out to me please.

5-       We have a leadership meeting on May 5 @ 6:00pm in Jon Woods Sunday School classroom.

6-       I will share a compilation of those priorities given to me by all of you.

7-       We are looking for God to speak to us in unity and clarity concerning His next steps for us.

8-       The priorities that you share with me (that the Lord reveals to you) will be kept in confidence unless you choose to share them. I will simply share what the leadership team shares (as a compilation).

9-       We will discuss those priorities and seek to discern the Lord’s will as leaders.

10-  We will then share those priorities with His church.
